Uncle Charles’ tour to Sai Kung

Sai Kung has undergone changes and development overtime. However, some built heritage and archaeological site still preserved in Sai Kung. To enhance FOH’s knowledge on the historic development of Sai Kung, Mr. Charles Chan, an experienced docent, is invited to give FOH a guided tour in Sai Kung. He will bring us to different places like salt pans in Nam Wai, Che Kung Temple in Ho Chung, archaeological site in Sha Ha, and Tin Hau Temple in Sai Kung town centre. Details are as follows: -

Date: 19 August 2007 (Sunday)
Time: 9: 00 a .m. – 12:00 noon
Assemble Time: 8:50 a.m.
Assemble Place: Choi Hung MTR station A2 entrance (entrance of 7-11 shop)
Quota: 22 persons
Docent: Mr. Charles Chan
(Experienced docent)
Contents:
1) an introduction on the archaeological sites and built heritage in Sai Kung
2) understand the development and changes of Sai Kung.

Remarks:
1. The tour will be conducted in Cantonese.
2. This activity is restricted to Friends of Heritage only.
3. Successful applicants will be chosen by a ballot and notified individually.
4. We will return to Choi Hung and dismiss at 12:00 noon.
