Old Site of the Tai Tat Tei
Hollywood Road Park |

The site used to be a small hill on a seashore. In 1841, the British soldiers landed there and held a formal flag raising ceremony to demonstrate their possession of Hong Kong Island. Barracks were set up there which moved to the Central district later. The original site became a market commonly known as “Tai Tat Tei”. It now becomes the Hollywood Road Park. |
