The Congregational Mission Preaching House was founded by an American missionary, C.R. Hager, in 1883. In June of the same year, Dr Sun Yat-sen baptized there. During 1884 and 1886, Dr Sun studied in Central School and resided on the third floor of the house. It was later relocated and the building was converted into the present market. This historic site is now marked by the Dr Sun Yat-sen Historical Trail. |
