| The Chairman started the meeting at 4:45 p.m. Before going into the agenda items, he informed Members that two historic buildings in Hong Kong, namely the Liu Ying Lung Study Hall, Sheung Shui and the St Andrew's Church, Tsim Sha Tsui had won the 2006 UNESCO Heritage Awards for Culture Heritage Conservation. He congratulated the organisations concerned and said that the AAB/AMO would liaise with UNESCO on the detailed arrangements for the award presentation ceremony in Hong Kong. He also informed the media present that at the preceding closed meeting, the AAB discussed the grading of Dragon Garden and rated it as a Grade II historical building. He added that a press release would be issued to inform the public that the son of Lee Iu-cheung, Dr Lee Shiu, had reached an agreement with Government to donate the Dragon Garden to Government for management and opening to public. |
