Activity (1)

Guided Visit to St. Joseph's Chapel at Yim Tin Tsai Village, Sai Kung

St. Joseph's Chapel at Yim Tin Tsai Village, Sai Kung is one of the oldest chapels in Hong Kong, the restoration project of the Chapel has won the Award of Merit of 2005 UNESCO Asia-Pacific Heritage Awards for Culture Heritage Conservation. To enhance FOH's knowledge on this historic building, Ms. Anna Kwong, project manager for the restoration project of St. Joseph's Chapel, will be invited to give a guided tour for our FOH at the site. Details of the tour are as follows:

Date ĄG 14 January 2007 (Sunday)
Time ĄG 2:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Assemble Time ĄG 2:15 p.m.
Assemble Place ĄG Sai Kung Public Pier
Quota ĄG30 persons
Docent ĄG Ms. Anna Kwong
(Fellow Member of the Hong Kong Institute of Architects)
Contents ĄG Ms. Kwong will give an introduction on the history and architectural features of the Chapel

Remarks ĄG
  1. The tour will be conducted in Cantonese.
  2. This activity is restricted to Friends of Heritage only.
  3. Successful applicants will be chosen by a ballot and notified individually.
  4. We'll take a boat to the site, participants have to pay for their own transportation fee ($30/ person, round-trip). The traveling time will last for about 10 mins.

  3. FOH will get 2 hours of activity record for attending this lecture.
