Hong Kong Heritage Discovery Centre (HKHDC)
"To Dig & to Learn" Workshop
What is archaeology? How old are the finds excavated in Hong Kong? In order to enrich students' knowledge on Field Archaeology, HKHDC has specially organized this workshop. During the workshop, our tutor will introduce basic knowledge on archaeology to participants through games, mock-up excavation and surveying work. It aims to allow participants to gain knowledge in archaeologists' work, and learn how to differentiate finds through excavation. Our tutor will begin the workshop by a briefing on Archaeology and its major discoveries in Hong Kong, followed by surveying and excavation. At the end of the workshop, students will report and share their findings. Details of the workshop are as follows:

Application¡G
Please send the completed application form by mail or by fax (2377 9792) to
the Education and Publicity Unit, Hong Kong Heritage Discovery Centre, Kowloon Park, Haiphong Road, Tsim
Sha Tsui, Kowloon.
Each school can only apply once, and each application can only apply for
one session of workshop. Please photocopy the application forms if necessary.
Notes to applicants:
| 1) | For the sake of fairness, application by phone is not accepted. The Centre reserves the right for the acceptance of applications. |
| 2) | In case of over subscription, participants will be selected by drawing lots. Each school will only be arranged one session of workshop. |
| 3) | Successful applicants will be notified by confirmation letters; if the participants cannot attend the workshop, please contact the Education and Publicity Unit (Tel: 2208 4413) at least one week before the workshop starts, so that the Centre can transfer the quota to other applicants. |
| 4) | If there are vacancies after the deadline, applications will be processed on a first come, first served basis. |
| 5) | Incomplete application form or materials will not be processed. |
| 6) | The Centre reserves the right to cancel the programme if the number of applications is below the quota. |
