In July 2005, I went to Beijing by myself. This experience was very impressive to me as I traveled along without the guidance of my parents and other relatives. I visited the Palace Museum, the Great Wall, alleyways and tried many local snacks. I was also gratified by the heritage conservation in the Mainland during this visit, as I found that both the quality and scale of the work were much improved when compared with the past. I sincerely hope that our descendants can still have the chance to admire the cultural heritage and appreciate the efforts of our precedents in the future.
