When we visited the Tang Ancestral Hall, no matter the story of door-god, or the “aoyu” from the ridge, all these made the Chinese buildings full of mysteries. The story of ceremonial screen door is very interesting. We walked up to Ping Shan Tang Clan Gallery. We saw different artefacts, such as wedding accessories, contracts, clothing, and even real plaits. However, the most memorable thing about the Tang Ancestral Hall is the origin of Tang Ancestral Hall and the Old Ping Shan Police Station. |

There are many western buildings in Central district. Surprisingly, the Legislative Council also has many rumors which make the building full of mysteries. I hope everyone would value heritage because they could tell us the story of Hong Kong. |

After visiting Central Police Station Compound, I have a better understanding of the historical buildings of Hong Kong. The docent explained the architecture at that time and it told me that foreign architect would modify the style of western buildings to suit the humid climate of Hong Kong at that time. During the visit, I was most impressed by the Victoria Prison Compound. It was my first time to walk around at prison surrounded by high wall, gate and iron window, feeling a lost of freedom. Thus, I recognize that freedom is really invaluable. |

I have never visited Lower Ngau Tau Kok Estate before and I thought it is an old estate only. During this visit, I have interviewed the owner of the Chinese embroidery store. They told me some interesting stories of the store. For example, a family of three generation purchased their “LongFeng” quilt and pillow at their shop. Also, one of the “QunGua” dress was displayed more than 30 year which was handmade by the owner. I felt that people in Ngau Tau Kok Estate have stronger sense of neighborhood and belonging which could not be found in other estates at present. |

During this visit, I could learn the interview skills and understand different feelings towards Lower Ngau Tau Kok Estate by different peoples. I remember that I have interviewed the noodle shop owners. One of them told me that he has profound feeling on his shop. He hoped that his noodle shop could keep running in the future. Another owner said that some customers came back to their shop even they have moved out. This shows that the people have a strong sense of belonging on Lower Ngau Tau Kok Estate. |
