A trip to Mui Wo, Lantau
This is a very special heritage trip to us. With the basic knowledge we have and our on-site exploration, we have completed our report about Mui Wo.
We decided to explore a new heritage trail and picked Mui Wo as a destination.
Mui Wo, a historic name called 'Mui Wai', is located at the south-eastern part of Lantau Island. It is a place with few population but nice scenery. T here are a number of historic buildings there that are worth to visit. As such, we visited Mui Wo to experience ourselves the heritage and culture there.
We have an exciting trip to Mui Wo, and we spent almost 1/2 day there! Although we are not very familiar with the geography there, we finally could finish visiting all the attraction points.
We have visited places like Li's Boundary Tablet, a watch tower at Luk Tei Tong, Hung Shing Temple, Nam Shan Historical Trail, Man Mo Temple, etc.
Although these places are not declared monuments with full protection from the government, we wish to draw others' attention to the heritage buildings in Mui Wo. In addition, we can connect all these attraction points to become a heritage trail so that people would understand more about the history and culture there.
