Central district lies at the heart of Hong Kong: the area was first developed at the inception of British rule in 1841 when several buildings in a Western architectural style soon sprung up. Taking in a total of 40 historic buildings and sites where important buildings that have since been demolished once stood, the Central Route introduces Central’s past landmarks to visitors and allows them to recapture the feeling of old Hong Kong.
