The Antiquities and Monuments Office of the Development Bureau invites you to a two-day "Tang Vogue Learning Day" on 27 and 28 December 2025 at the Hong Kong Heritage Discovery Centre. This event features a spectacular lineup of workshops, demonstrations and activities, like Tang dynasty tea art demonstrations, workshops on pastel art and dinosaur modelling clay. Complete the activities to collect stamps and receive a unique, limited-edition gift! If you love performances and hands-on activities, don’t miss the “Tang Vogue Learning Day”!
Programmes highlights:
1. Tang Vogue Tea Art Demonstration
Discover the rich culture of Tang dynasty tea! A professional tea master will introduce the culture, history, tools and types of tea, and demonstrate the tea brewing process used in Tang dynasty.
2. Pastel Art Workshop
Try this relaxing workshop and express your inner harmony, creating your own soothing pastel artwork.
3. Dinosaur Modelling Clay Workshop
Create your own mini dinosaur with modelling clay and learn about the ancient creature. Participants can get an extra stamp by folding a small gift box for your dinosaur.
4. Cursive Script of a Thousand Characters Classic
Can you decipher the cursive script inspired by Huaisu’s calligraphy, as created by Emperor Qianlong?
5. Tang Vogue Challenge
Search for answers hidden in the “Tang Vogue” exhibition. The exhibits will guide you through the challenge.
6. Your Snapshot Station (you must first complete the “Tang Vogue Challenge”)
Record your memorable moment against exclusive heritage-themed backgrounds.
7. Make Your Own Badges with Relics and Monuments
Choose your favourite historic building or artefact to create your own badge.
8. Colouring Monuments
Choose your favourite monuments and colour them! Unleash your creativity to create a unique piece.
9. Guided Tours of “Tang Vogue” Exhibition
Join our guided tour to enjoy the “Tang Vogue” exhibition to learn more about the history and culture of the Tang dynasty and Tang vogue, and earn a stamp upon completion of the tour.

10. Tang Vogue Gingerbread Cookie Workshop
Use chocolate pens to draw Tang vogue patterns on gingerbread under guidance of instructors to create a unique gingerbread. First-come, first-served while supplies last.
11. Talk Series of “Tang Vogue” Exhibition
Mr. CHEN Yantang, Henan Province Cultural Heritage Administration and Ms. AN Jiayao of Chinese Academy of Social Sciecnes, will deliver talks on the people shown on the different kinds of archaeological finds and the archaeological works of the Changan City in Tang dynasty on 27 and 28 December, respectively. In addition to performances and workshops, you can deepen your understanding of the history of Tang dynasty. Please click here for details of the talks.
- Each activity has its own exclusive stamp. Participants will get one activity stamp after completing each activity.
- Collect 5 stamps and redeem them for a gift at the reception!
- Collect 7 stamps to get an extra gift!
- Collect 9 stamps to get a special gift!
- Each game card is limited to one gift in each of the three stamp tiers.
- Participants can continue to collect the required number of stamps on the second day of the event by using the same game card.
- The gifts are available while the stock lasts. The Antiquities and Monuments Office reserves the rights to make the final decision in the case of a dispute.
