Good news! Starting from the “International Day for Monuments and Sites” of this year, i.e. 18 April 2022, the Young Friends of Heritage Scheme (YFOH) is now open for application all year round and there is no quota for applications!
Since the launch of YFOH in 2004, the Antiquities and Monuments Office (AMO) has been providing a variety of activities and training programmes focusing on heritage conservation for YFOH members. Through YFOH, we aim to enhance the interest of the young generation to learn more about the rich cultural heritage of Hong Kong.
AMO welcomes secondary school students aged below 18 and interested to learn and promote heritage to join our YFOH scheme. You can just simply download the form, complete it and ask your school teacher to sign on it, and then return it to us by email (enews@amo.gov.hk), fax (2377 9792), post or in person.
As a YFOH member, you can attend our tailor-made heritage conservation activities, including lectures, workshops, guided visits and training programmes. You can also have a chance to participate in docent services for historic buildings and other volunteer services.
For enquiries, please call Lleyton on 2208 4438 from Mondays to Fridays during office hours.
