The Antiquities and Monuments Office of the Development Bureau is delighted to present The Majestic Han 1 May Fun Day from 1 to 3 May 2026 at the Hong Kong Heritage Discovery Centre (HDC). Each day offers a different lineup of interesting activities and games, including cookie workshops, rammed earth workshops, face painting, the Majestic Studio, clerical script calligraphy workshops, dinosaur modelling clay workshops, curator-led guided tours, pitch-pot, the Majestic Han Challenge, badge making and exhibit colouring. Complete the designated activities to receive unique souvenirs! There are also limited-time stamps, demonstrations and talks, including Han dynasty tea art demonstrations on 1 May, and public talks by Dr. Sonia Ng and Professor Mario S. Quintero on 2 and 3 May on the culinary culture of Han dynasty and the use of digital technologies in documenting heritage places for conservation, respectively.

8. Majestic Han X Dinosaur Cookie Workshop【1 and 2 May (Fri and Sat) Only】(You must first complete the ‘Dinosaur Parlour’ Stamp Mission)
Use chocolate pens to draw stylish patterns on cookies under the guidance of instructors to create your own cookie. First-come, first-served, while stocks last.
9. Rammed Earth Workshop【1 and 2 May (Fri and Sat) Only】(Online pre-registration is required; successful applicants will be notified via email)
Rammed earth is one of the world's most widely used traditional building techniques. It utilises natural materials and is created through a process of shaping by compacting a damp mixture of soil. Participants will learn about the rammed earth technique and its production through this workshop. Click here for details.
10. Clerical Script Calligraphy Workshop【1 May (Fri) Only】
Our calligraphy master will guide you to experience the archaic elegance of Han dynasty clerical script, uncovering the majestic spirit of Han culture through every brushstroke.
11. Tea Art Demonstration【1 May (Fri) Only】
Discover the rich culture of Han dynasty tea! A tea master will introduce the tea culture, types and history of tea, and utensils for making tea, and demonstrate tea brewing popular in Han dynasty.
