To celebrate 13 June 2026, ‘China Cultural and Natural Heritage Day’, the Antiquities and Monuments Office of the Development Bureau is delighted to present a two-day lineup of special activities and games at the Hong Kong Heritage Discovery Centre (HDC) on 13 and 14 June to jointly explore the fun of learning about cultural heritage. The programmes include workshops on beam framework model, dinosaur modelling with clay and little night light of a temple, the Majestic Studio, a Star Guided Tour, pitch-pot, the Majestic Han Challenge, badge making, exhibit colouring and public talks. Complete designated missions to earn unique souvenirs! You can also collect special four-colour and exclusive stamps during the two days.

1. Pitch-Pot
Experience this popular game from Han dynasty banquets. Challenge yourself to toss arrows into the pot!

Capture memorable moments with an exclusive background and props inspired by the star exhibits. Take a snapshot and experience the mighty winds of Han!
7. 【13 Jun (Sat) Only】 Star Guided Tour (Online pre-registration is required; successful applicants will be notified via email)
Mr. XU Rui, Deputy Director of the Gansu Jiandu Museum, will highlight the crucial role Han slips played in the development of Chinese civilisation. The tour will introduce an array of Han slips featured in ‘The Majestic Han' exhibition. Click here for details and registration.

8. 【13 Jun (Sat) Only】 Public Talk
Mr. Leung Kam-wah, a master of paper crafting, will deliver a talk, titled ‘From Man Mo Temple in Sheung Wan to Understanding the Technique and Inheritance of Paper Crafting’, in the lecture hall of the HDC at 3 pm on 13 Jun (Sat).

9. 【13 Jun (Sat) Only】Workshop on the Beam Framework Model (Online pre-registration is required; successful applicants will be notified via email)
Conducted by Associate Professor Dr. Edwin Wu and Assistant Professor Dr. Ken To of Hong Kong Chu Hai College, the workshop will introduce the features of Lingnan traditional architecture. Participants will have an opportunity to assemble a beam framework model, enhancing their knowledge of this essential part of Lingnan traditional architecture. Create a mini dinosaur with modelling clay and learn about palaeontology!
